In Honor of a Life Well Lived: Remembering Pamela Prince-Eason
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate… to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
Last week, I had the privilege of attending the WBENC Conference in New Orleans — an inspiring gathering of 4,000+ women entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, and changemakers.
The event was phenomenal, thanks to the visionary leadership of Pamela Prince-Eason, the heart and soul of WBENC.
Pamela was vibrant, warm, and deeply committed to empowering women-owned businesses. Seeing her on stage, full of life and energy, none of us could have imagined it would be her last time leading this community.
Over the weekend, we received the heartbreaking news of her passing due to heart failure. It has left a profound impact on all of us who were fortunate to witness her legacy in action.
This moment reminds me how critical it is to prioritize our health, check in with ourselves, and take time to nurture both body and soul. And just as importantly — to live a life that gives.
Let’s make time for self-care.
Let’s slow down and breathe.
And let’s strive to live a life of meaning, purpose, and service — as Pamela so clearly did.
